How both were built, and what each one leaves out.
What can you expect from me?
I write, design, build and document. Writing ranges from scripts and carousels to long-form pieces, in both English and Bengali. For the web, I build with hand-written HTML and CSS rather than page builders. Documentation is the part most portfolios skip: process notes, workspace setup and the internal materials that keep the work consistent when more than one person is involved.
This is the part I am best at. A lot of web copy sounds the same now because it starts with the same prompts and never gets properly edited afterwards. I read what you already have, understand how you speak to your audience, and develop the voice from there.
Most people who write do not build, and most people who build do not write, so a brief passes between two or three people and loses something at each handover. Doing all of it myself means the copy and the layout get decided together.
I start by asking what the page needs to do and who will be reading it. Then I work out the structure and write the content before moving into visual design. Once the words and structure are clear, I design around them. That gives the design something specific to respond to, rather than filling a layout with placeholder text.
Video editing. I can write for a cut, storyboard an idea and script the video, but I don't edit the footage myself. I also turn down briefs where the only requirement is a particular look and there is no clear purpose behind the page.
I charge per deliverable, with the price agreed before I start. I don't work on an hourly rate or a monthly retainer. You know what the deliverable will cost before commissioning it, and the price doesn't increase simply because the work takes me longer.
